Rick Steves is a professional guidebook author and television presenter. He's very knowledgeable about Europe, so you can trust his videos. We watched his "Christiania" video in class this week (or for Tuesday and Wednesday classes - we will watch it!) He has videos on almost every city in Europe. Some of them have good English captions, but some of them say "automatic captions." If it says "automatic captions" it is probably not correct, so be careful! Look for captions that just say "English."Remember, you can watch a video just to look at the attraction or city so that you can describe what it looks like or see what people do there. Of course you can also pause the video to get facts from it.
If you watch a video make sure to copy and paste the web address into your Works Cited! Rick Steves has short video clips about attractions, but he also has half hour long shows about whole cities, regions or countries!

I'm glad that it was helpful for you! Yes, the videos are very fast. Sometimes I watch videos in French or German just to hear the language or see the images. That can be helpful too! I hope you have good luck with all your work!

ReplyDeleteDuring watch the Paris movie, how wonderful is it! The Paris is artistic and very peaceful. Also there are wide garden. It looks beautiful and romantic. At night, Paris' night view is romantic. I think many of France people are happy. If I live there or If I go there...

DeleteThe video is interesting! I went to Europe this summer. I went to London, Paris, Spain( Granada, Madrid, Barcelona, Sevilla), Italy(Rome, Firenze, Venezia). It's really impression and I had a good experience. When I was in Paris, under the Eiffel Tower, I met street dancers. They danced very funny and many people enjoy the performance. That time, they survey people's various nation and of course tell the Korean raise a hand. Sister and me hands up quickly!!! Suddenly, they took our on the stage and suggest dance together with "Gangnam style". we were very confusion but start dance together. It was never tobe forgotten event.

DeleteIn christiania, many people look happy. This place looks warm and peaceful. If I go there , maybe I walk there during breathe. Many people build own building. How did they build own building well? Their major were architecture?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how they built the building well - maybe some of them are architects! My brother wants to study cob-building. Cob-building is a special kind of traditional building using mud and straw. It doesn't sound impressive, but actually you can build really nice houses with that method.
