Describe a Character: Keith "Some Kind of Wonderful"
This week in class we practiced describing a character. Here is the full clip from the beginning of the movie "Some Kind of Wonderful." What can you tell me about Keith to introduce his character? Try watching a few more minutes of the clip. What new information can you learn?

-Keith's family consisted of his father, mother, two sisters and himself. He didn't get along with one of his sisters.
ReplyDelete-He was walking on the track and he didn't desperately dodge a speeding train trying to run him down in the movie. Juging from this, his character was reckless in the extreme or liked showing off, as was the way with adolescent boys.
-He had a friend who had a boyish and charismatic personality.
-He secretly loved one girl who attended the same school so he was drawing her face in the library.
Nice description! I like your use of adjectives - especially reckless, boyish and charismatic. Those are all good adjectives!
DeleteMother,father and two younger sisters are his family. He looks like strange and crazyman. Because he walked on railroad. He has one friend. She was boyish and very cool girl. He loved one girl who other boy's girlfriend. I thought that she is pretty,popular and rich. Although I can't English well, Please reply comments.

ReplyDeleteHe lives in city and he has 5 family members: father, mother, two youger sisters, Keith. His father dream that Keith will attend college but he didn't want that. He is very nice to youger sisters. His friend has an unaffected personality.

Nice job observing things about the movie! I am glad that you have a unique opinion about the scene where he walks towards the train - I think everyone has different opinions about that scene. I only disagree with you about one thing - I don't think he is nice to his younger sister! That's okay, though, because she went into his room. Do you have sisters and brothers? Do you fight sometimes?

Yes, nice job! I'm glad to see another opinion/adjective about Keith walking on the railroad. Maybe he's reckless or brave, maybe he's depressed. Until we see the rest of the movie, it is hard to have a final opinion, but it's good to make a guess!
