Presentation Recommended Sites from Other Students!

Hey, everyone!

Sorry it's been a while since I posted last! Today I just want to quickly share a few videos and sites with you that other students recommended on my last post on presentations! Thanks, everyone, for adding your useful websites in the comments!

First, a video I have also watched and enjoyed on presenting like Steve Jobs, recommended by Kim Sang Jo. (Thank you!)

Next, a speech by Barack Obama submitted by Lee Seung Hwan, who recommends speaking in a strong and clear voice. (I agree!)

Last of all, a presentation tips checklist submitted by Wang So Min - Thanks for the helpful site!

If you have any more useful websites or videos, please do submit them! Thanks for your hard work and enthusiasm everyone!

  2. First video 'present like Steve Jobs' is very interesting and useful for me. You know, Steve Jobs' presentation skills are refined and excellent. And his presentation is very informative and professional. I heard that he have really many rehearsals to speak in public. I think the key to Steve Jobs' perfect presentation is repetitive pratices. What do you think of his presentation ? What are things we can learn from him?

    1. I agree that one of the most important things that students can do is to practice many times! I'm sure that Steve Jobs practiced a lot, as well as other professional speakers! Presenting well is not easy and takes time! The other main tip that I think is the most useful is to show enthusiasm. The video host said, "If you're not passionate about it, we're not going to be." I agree with that. I hope that students will choose to tell about attractions and facts that are interesting to them. I hope students can feel passionate about the information they have found and share that with the rest of the class. There were many other good things too - an outline, a theme, simple visuals, etc. However, I think those two things - practice and passion/enthusiasm - are two of the most important elements of a good presentation!

    1. Confidence is very important, yes, but even students without much confidence can get more confidence by practicing a lot in front of different people! Over the years my confidence for speaking has grown with practice!

    1. Themes can be very good for organizing a presentation, that's true! It's hard to say what is the most important thing. For me, I would say practice and passion are the most important things to making a good presentation. However, it's important to have good contents and organization too! :)

    1. Almost everybody needs to slow down the first few times they give their presentation! Actually, I often need to slow down in our class too! Sometimes I forget to slow down because I want to tell too many things to the class. But it's always better to slow down. Just remind yourself at the beginning of each section that you can slow down and take a deep breath each time. You will do a great job!

So, I hardly practice my presentation with my partner.
